Plant ye my feet in the soil of Zion.
Sink my roots deep in the ground.
There I'll grow as a vine on a trellis to the sky,
Bearing fruit as good works there abound.

Water my soul with the gospel of peace,
Let it shower upon me each day.
Warm me with rays of Thy loving grace,
Sweet sunshine to share on my way.

Plant in my heart seeds of Zion's true treasure,
Raise up a garden of good.
Feed the spirits of men who are longing for the truth
With a harvest of light understood.

Help me prepare then to gather the sheaves
From a field overflowing with grain.
Plant me in Zion to work and grow
Beside the dear Gardener again.
