YouTube video: Our Savior Also Died

When others pass away from us Where is the strength for us to trust?

Where is the rest that will not cease?  Or promise of a lasting peace?

Where is the hope of endless sight? When will this shadow change to light?

How will despair discover calm?  Where is the Lord’s true healing balm?

When others pass on to the grave, Our Savior brings a way to save.

Mortality is not the end; He gave the surest way to mend.

“Come unto Me,” His whisper speaks, “And you will find the calm you seek.

Come feel my power yet to heal; My endless love is meant to seal.”

Our Savior also died in pain So through his perfect life we’d gain.

He suffered ever willingly To lend us all his power to see.

His agony upon the cross And in the Garden mastered loss.

Our Savior also died to show The blessing of true peace we’ll know.

When others pass away we see Through Christ, our Savior, we can be

Much closer to Him with each sting.  Then we will offer praise and sing:

“Our Savior also died for us; In Him we can completely trust.

He’ll heal our pain; in song we’ll burst Because we know that He died first."
