A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  YouTube video: Are We Not All Beggars?

Text:
Are we not all beggars searching for our home?
Unlike birds who have their nests, ee’n Jesus roamed.
Through his lonely mortal life He was also poor.
Homeless was his daily walk, but He gives us more.

Are we not all beggars pleading for his grace,
Asking for forgiveness, seeking his sweet face?
Can we understand our need and Christ’s pow’r to heal?
As we take his precious name, to Him we are sealed.

Are we not all beggars seeking God’s abode,
Plodding through our poverty to heaven’s road?
As we come to Jesus Christ, our poor spirits soar.
Our dependence on Him opens heaven’s door.

Are we not all beggars seeking God’s domain?
Through our Savior, Jesus Christ, our salvation is claimed.
