Can have a mother’s heart.
For there’s not a single mold,
For her to do her part.
Women who show charity,
Or calm a troubled soul,
Women with sincerity,
Who keep God as their goal.
2. Any woman, poor or rich,
Can have a mother’s heart.
Through righteousness, they enrich,
Through service, they impart,
Relief to all those in need,
And help to those who lack.
For the wand’ring long they plead,
They gently bring them back.
3. Any woman, anywhere,
Can have a mother’s heart.
All who show God’s tender care,
And make the gloom depart.
Who lovingly they raise,
Those who are, for now, alone,
