An original hymn with text by Mark Fotheringham below.  Watch on YouTube: The Last Nephite

All alone, beloved kindred dead,

I wander far from home,

Witnessing the last, all that's come to pass.

'Til time is gone, I will roam.

Man's depravity is a mystery,

Consuming all on their lust.

Still, I write the words, from Spirit heard,

For I know in whom I trust.

Christ The Lord, safe holds me in His hand,

My loneliness attends.

These engravings still speak the Father's will,

For truth and light never end.

So throughout the night, I'll not cease to write

The words that in my heart ring.

If you pray to know, He'll tell you so;

You'll know the truth of all things.

All these words will rise up from the dust

To touch the hearts of men.

Though my fingers ache, for the righteous' sake,

I'll one day be heard again.

I have seen your day, though I pass away,

The dust cover up my feet.

'Til my life is through, I'll pray for you.

On judgment day we shall meet.
