A sacred hymn with text by Mark Fotheringham below.   Watch on YouTube: The Savior's Commission, sacred hymn

To do the will of The Father,

Christ The Lord had come to earth.

Father's Only Begotten,

Glorified from holy birth.

A dispensation of fullness

Was awaiting His command,

Time to gather His people

To His church was now at hand.

He came to call forth a prophet

From the lowly of the earth,

Bringing back revelations

From Apostasy's long dearth.

In life, a church He had fashioned

With apostles, prophets too,

Priesthood power and blessings

To distill as morning dew.

Thus came He for restoration

To all glory by His hand,

Raising up from the darkness

His true church upon the land.

The church He would re-establish,

It would never fade away,

Sowing seeds of His gospel

'Til the great Millenial Day.

A stone to roll forth in power

Cut from mountains without hands

Growing larger and fairer

From a tiny grain of sand.

"To Father all praise and glory!"

All the angels shout with mirth.

"Praise and glory to Jesus.

Christ The Lord returns to earth!"
