Glorious these days have been

Jesus walking here with men

Ousting darkness from the land

Healing by His powerful hand

Teaching us the doctrine of our King

First descending from the heights,

Darkness banished by His light.

Voice of God declaring Him

Son and Savior: "Hear Ye Him."

Down to temple grounds to there alight.

"I am Jesus Christ," said he,

There fulfilling prophesy.

"Come to feel these wounded hands."

Facing death, He broke the bands,

God of Israel slain for all our sins.

Having drunk the bitter cup,

Suffering to lift men up,

He is surely light and life,

Savior, Lord, with glory rife.

Doing all His Father would command.

Slain, and yet He Lives again!

Overcoming death and sin.

How we bowed to worship then,

Knowing He had saved all men.

"Blessed be the name of Most High God."

Law of Moses He fulfilled,

Thus a new law He instilled.

Justice now would tempered be

By the law of charity,

Leading all His children back to God.
