Because He lives,

His love for our supply.

For us, his valiant cross.

And groaned beneath that awful load,

To us He gives

Atonement’s gifts foretold.

Reaching our fears,

Enduring unfair sentencing,

Our Savior’s tears

Brought blood and praise to sing.

Because He lives

Despair and disappointments end.

Our Savior gives

Capacity to mend.

Unceasingly,

His charity exceeds all time.

He died to be

Our Savior, so sublime.

Because He lives

And rose the third day from the tomb,

He gladly gives

Release from every gloom.

Death has no sting;

Now we are freed from every woe.

Our Savior brings

True life, where blessings flow.
