I was not there to hear angels sing when Baby Jesus was born.
I was not there in Bethlehem streets to glory in that holy morn.
But I can sing praises to Him, remembering His new birth.
And I will worship Him ev’ryday wherever I live on the earth.

Even though I was not there on that first Christmas day,
I can show my love to Him by following His ways.

I was not there to see the new King when He was placed on soft hay.
I did not go with shepherds that night and follow the star where He lay.
But I can sing Alleluia, remembering His new star.
Now I will sing to my precious King, like angels did from afar.
