In Bethlehem one night the stars were shining bright.
An angel’s voice rang out to shepherds so devout.
With haste they ran to view a birth so very new . . .
A manger filled with hay was where this Baby lay:

God’s holy Child, God’s holy Son,
was born of Mary . . . He is the One.

He is the One who came to take away each shame.
He is the promised soul so mankind can be whole.
O, Jesus is his Name; He grew and overcame
Each mortal death and sin for all who trust in Him.

In Bethlehem this night the heavens shared His light
With all the world below . . . His perfect love to show.
