A sacred hymn of Christmas with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann Snowball.
YouTube video: What is This I Hear?
See text below:
What is this I hear In the early morn?
Is a baby whimpering? Is a baby born?
Do I hear a choir sing Pure angelic tones?
As I listen from afar Are there sheep alone?
What is this I see Way up in the sky?
Is a new star shimmering As I look up high?
Do I see a Baby Boy Resting on some hay?
Do I smile at Mary there? Do I kneel and pray?
What is this I feel On this Christmas day?
As I gaze on two small eyes, Is this love to stay?
Do I sense a miracle In my very heart?
Can I recognize the truth, That which God imparts?
What will I receive? How will I believe?
Will I trust with humble heart Or remain deceived?
Will I celebrate, this day, Father’s first-born Son?
Will I take into my heart God’s pure holy One?
As I see and hear and feel Jesus Christ’s pure love,
I’ll receive this Christmas day All things from above.
