Because of Him a brilliant star brought fire to the sky.
Because of Him a shepherd’s fright received an answer “why?”
From angelic voices came the joyous, holy news:
A Savior had been born that night for all the world to view.

Because of Him this Child of God, who slept in Mary’s arms,
Would now provide true healing from distress and endless harms.
All the world would shout a new, blessed carol to their King:
Our Savior had been born that night so all the earth could sing.

Because of Him there could be peace in stinging, painful hearts.
Because of Him, of Jesus Christ, this Baby could impart
Father’s love and tenderness to ev’ry aching soul.
Our Savior had been born that night so men could now be whole.

Because of Him we now can live with blessings to be claimed.
Because of Him we now can sing all glory to his Name!
