On that first Christmas Eve, angels gave their song
to lone shepherds in night fields, urging them along.
Shepherds gave their voices of a newborn King
to all creatures on the earth . . . miracles to bring.

A new star gave great light. Wisemen gave three gifts
honoring this newborn Babe, One whose life would lift.
Mary gave her first son through submissive will.
Even Joseph gave consent . . . God’s need to fulfill.

Our Father gave his Son so a flawless plan
could bless ev’ry child of God through our Savior’s hands.
Jesus gave compliance from his perfect love . . .
ever giving his own life so we’d live above.
