Coming down from heaven, sensed by stars above,

Came the Baby Jesus, through God's arms of love.

From his holy kingdom high up in the clouds,

He fulfilled a cov'nant which in trust He had vowed.

Coming down from heaven, God sent his own Son.

Growing from a baby was the Holy One.

He was taught by Joseph and his mother dear.

He was nurtured by their sides, as they held Him so near.

Coming down from heaven, with all trust intact,

Father shared his spirit, helping Jesus act

With the purest kindness to forgive and seal.

All his life He offered love with such humble zeal.

Coming down from heaven shone clear, brilliant light,

Showing all the planets his personal sight.

He could see so keenly and He knew so well:

He would be our ransomed Savior, because Adam fell.

He came down from heaven; He's the chosen One.

With perspective grand as God's sole perfect Son.

He learned as a child of his Father's will.

He is our example; all truth He will fulfill.

Coming down from heaven was this Baby Boy,

All to help the world find true lasting joy.

Calls to each of us at Christmas to help us feel near.
