Blessed are the persecuted for the righteous’ sake.
When afflicted and despised, God’s pure name they take.
Accusations may befall from enemies who err.
Those who triumph (conquer) faithfully gather heaven’s care.

Persecution was the path our Savior, Jesus, walked.
As we follow Him we’ll find (see) joy will be unlocked.

Blessed are the persecuted, criticized, and torn,
Who have modeled charity when their souls are worn.
They will be rewarded with pure heavn’ly love on high.
Theirs will be the blessing of being sanctified.

Persecution was the path our Savior, Jesus, walked.
As we follow Him we’ll find (see) joy will be unlocked.

Blessed are the persecuted—they’ve a promised place
As they tread a thorny path searching for God’s face.
Blessed are the righteous ones who follow in His trail;
Even with condemning, they see beyond the veil.
