Arriving early to calm my anxious heart,

I anticipate sacred emblems and my promised part.

Upon the altar I witness the gathering of trays,

and of tokens, and white linen covering.

Hymnal praising, then kneeling at His place,

reveals His voice in such clear priesthood phrases.

Tasting sweet crumbs of bread and healing water

are meant to fill my famished soul with lasting life.

Yet starved for Spirit I humbly recall

my celestial parentage, renewing precious covenants.

Kneeling together in His Garden,

then we meet at altars of sacrifice and weep in unity.

Tears fall so freely from eyes that see past stains.

Eyes that weep together bring common love so joy remains.

Eternal peerings into each other's soul

become sacred offerings so we can be made whole.
