A sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.

YouTube video: Jerusalem, hymn

Text:
Jesus taught in parables at parables at the temple mount,
Sharing truths to save mankind, though some there did doubt.
In this known town Jerusalem, evil ones had need
Citizens to crucify the One who would redeem.

Jesus left and walked part way up the hill that day.
With disciples by his side, city views displayed
His much beloved Jerusalem! Christ foresaw the truth:
It would be destroyed at last; these things He learned from youth.

Jesus taught His listeners there: "I will come again.
But for now my death is close; I cannot remain.
The temple in Jerusalem will not have one stone.
Nations will be troubled but ye shall not be alone."

Jesus loved Jerusalem, city where He died.
From his prophecies we know His House will provide
All blessings in a time to come. All will be reborn,
Dedicated to our Lord, with glory to adorn.
