An original hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mark R. Fotheringham below. YouTube video: Jesus in Gethsemane
Jesus in Gethsemane found a place to pray,
Knowing what was soon to come, sought another way.
"Father take this cup from me," begged a faithful Son.
"If there be no other way, then, Thy will be done."
Pain and sorrow he endured, more than man could bear,
Suffering for every sin, every hurt and care.
Facing every grief alone, filled his heart with dread.
Sweat and blood from every pore stained his garment red.
When at last the cup was drained, when the price was paid,
Mercy now could claim it's own, every man to aid.
Victory for all mankind! Blessed be the Lamb!
He who suffered all for us is the great I Am.
