Thou art greater than the mountains

Stretching high as eye can see,

Thou art greater than the oceans,

The tides of rolling seas.

Thou art greater than the darkness

For you are filled with light,

Thou art greater than all evil

For you’re a God of truth and right.

Thou art greater than depression

When I’m feeling so alone,

Thou art greater than the hateful

Words of mocking scorn.

Thou art greater, Dear Lord Jesus,

Thou art mighty, Thou art strong,

Thou can touch one hurting heart,

Feeling alone in a throng.

Thou art greater than the problems

That prey upon my mind,

Only through Thy power

True solace will I find.

Thou art our great Redeemer,

For Thy goodness never fails,

Thy power cannot be measured,

By any weight or scale.  

Thou art greater than all others,

None surpass in any way,

Ye thou art ever mindful

Of the passing of my day.

Thou art greater than the power

Of death and silent grave,

For through Thy love and mercy

You came all men to save.
