1. Our Mother Eve was first to see

That they must fall that man may be,

Then gave to Adam to partake,

Convinced him it was no mistake.

Take courage as our mother Eve,

When faced with fear, instead believe.

2. Our mother Eve was first to hope,

That she, united, then could cope,

Outside their garden paradise,

That heaven’s gifts would then suffice,

Take courage as our mother Eve,

When faced with want, then still believe.

3. Our mother Eve was first to weep,

For her stray child who did not keep,

All God’s commands, but turned away,

One son she lost, one went astray.

Take courage as our mother Eve,

When faced with grief, be still, believe.

4. Our mother Eve was first on Earth,

God’s daughter of a royal birth,

First mother of the human race,

A vessel of God’s holy grace.

Take courage as our mother Eve,

All through your life, stand firm, believe.
