Each child of God must choose . . .
Some follow light and desire only truth.
Who are these meek souls awaiting God’s pure grace?
These poor in heart, so stilled . . .
They turn to prayer for each blessing to be filled.
As each is humble and seeks for heaven’s help,
Disciples walk, and wait,
Expecting gifts for their own display of faith.
They view themselves in their mortal, carnal state,
At heaven’s gate . . . at home.
Each rightful heir brings a contrite heart to own.
Their kingdom lasts with all glory and all pow’r.
The poor in spirit have now come home!
