When is the best season for prayer?
When is the time to find the Father there?

It is in the morning before the food we partake;

It is when we’re together before the family separates.

For the employee it is before he begins his daily work

That he may deal honestly and his duty never shirk.

For the shepherd it is when he’s watching o’er his flock of sheep

That each will be fed and in safe pastures keep.

It is for the farmer before he goes into the field

That his crops will grow with a bounteous yield.

It is for the student before entering the school

That he will learn his lessons well and obey all the rules.

For the doctor it is for wisdom that he may gently heal

Those with infirmities of body or mind to comfort feel.

It is for the teacher before meeting the eager youth

That she will share knowledge and always teach the truth.

For the mother it is in her home, be it large or small,

That she may nurture and nourish with love all within those walls.

The right season is in the evening when the day is done

And the family safely returns at the setting of the sun.

It is kneeling at the bedside in humble gratitude

For the blessings of the day__safety, shelter, food.

It is in times of trials when extra strength you may need,

It is for courage to stand firm, the Spirit’s voice to heed.

It is always the right season to ponder, kneel and pray

In the morning or the evening or while traveling on your way.

Right now is the right time, so do not delay,

Right now is the season, always the season to pray.
