The Gospel is our fortress.

The doctrine can shield us from harm.

When storms of life are brewing,

The Word keeps us blessed and warm.

The good news of the Gospel

Says Jesus has overcome all;

Repent and forgiveness is certain,

And death has no terror at all.

The scriptures are a fountain

Of knowledge to fill us with light.

A daily prayer with our study

Will lead us to know what is right.

Commandments are a pleasure.

To keep them preserves us from sin;

The confidence thereby engendered

Can give us the courage to win.
