Text:
Thou afflicted, tossed with tempest,
Thou who cannot comfort find,
God shall lay thy streets with colors,
Ease thy troubled mind.
Windows and gates of pleasant stonework,
Beauty on ev'ry border find.
Children by the Lord instructed,
Great shall be thy children's peace.
Righteousness shall be established;
All oppression cease.
Terror and fear shall come not near thee.
God will thy peace and joy increase.
Surely enemies shall gather,
Still thy Lord shall know them all.
As The Lord is thy protector,
Every foe shall fall.
Forged He the instrument of justice,
Ye shall condemn each evil call.
This, the heritage of servants,
Serving God upon His throne.
Ever shall they know His kindness.
They shall be His own.
When they are tossed and sore afflicted,
Burnished are they as pleasant stone.
