When I look to heaven to thank The Lord above

For all the many blessings He gives in love,

I rarely think of trials as given by His hand:

A fire to temper the soul.

Jesus was the perfect example to us all

Of how to endure every trouble.

Freely he forgave all who caused him pain or grief.

In trial, his strength grew the more.

When the sky turns gloomy, the storm is passing by.

The future is uncertain, yet still we try

To find our way in darkness by leaning on our faith,

The iron rod leading us on.

Everytime we weather a hardship, we grow strong,

Discovering what we are made of.

Praise The Lord for wisdom to try His noble child

And show him the strength deep inside.
