A sacred hymn with text by Kathryn W. Hales below. Watch on YouTube: Easter Dawn
In the stillness of a spring morn’
Just as the new
dawn was born,
The seals of a tomb were broke,
And our Lord Jesus from death awoke.
Yea, our dear Savior was the first
The ugly bands of death to burst.
His resurrection opened heaven’s door
That the grave will hold us nevermore.
The sting of death is forever gone,
Because of Christ’s gift that special dawn,
Unto Him our grateful voices raise
In Easter songs of eternal praise.Information | |
