If through tribulation you pass through today,

Do not despair; hold on your way.

If thou art in perils on every side,

The Lord will give you strength to abide.

If your life’s in a pit, or you’re cast in the deep,

The Lord will watch o’er you. His vigilance keep.

If blackness surrounds you from billowing waves,

The Lord is nearby, your soul to save.

If all hell gapes open its mouth after you,

Do not give up, He’ll see you through.

No man need you fear so don’t go astray,

Just cling to the Rod and hold on your way.

Christ is the Life, the Truth, and the Way;

Your years are known, yea even your days.

Trial give you experience, to your goodness display,

Look to the Lord and hold on your way.
