God sent us here on earth to live,
To learn faith and how to forgive.
First follow Christ and then discern
What’s here to do that’s now your turn.

We have a mission to perform;
We must do it mid peace and storm.
We each have something we must do,
While to our Savior we are true.

The Spirit tells us what to do.
He tells it to me and to you.
It’s up to us to listen well,
Then on the goal our thoughts must dwell.

Whether our task be large or small,
We must be brave, exert our all.
Fulfill God’s mandate, do His will,
Whether high or low, climb the hill.

And when our mission, it is done,
We wonder how this race we’ve won.
And then we see it wasn’t me,
But dear God, it was due to Thee.

And when we’ve finished all our work,
With neither an excuse or shirk
We’ll come and stand before the Son,
And hear Him say to us, “Well done.”
