An original hymn with text by Mark Fotheringham below (based on the Nephite Christmas - the day, the night and the day at the time of Christ's birth).

Ages long we waited for Messiah, God's own Word.
The prophets testified He would be Christ, the Lord.
When born in Bethlehem so very far away,
A star would lighten up the night as bright as day.

Evil gathered round us, saying should there be no sign,
Then death would be our fate, they would our faith malign.
So seeking God's protection, we began to pray
To see the light throughout the night as bright as day.

Glory to the Father for He sent His blessed Son.
A day, a night, and day were brightened as if one.
Our Lord had saved us as a babe in manger hay
Upon the night that He was born, as bright as day.

Thirty-three years later we awaited Him again,
Destruction all around us mixed with grief and pain.
A voice from heaven drew us to a glorious ray,
Our Lord descending from above, as bright as day.
