O, Lord, Thou has searched me and knows me well,
Whether I sit or I rise.
Thy compass, it ever follows me
E’er from thy holy skies.

For there are no words which my tongue can speak
But for thy knowledge is clear.
There is no land to escape thy sight,
As Thou art ever near.

O, I may ascend to thy heaven or
