Text:
I once held sunlight in my hands,
A home of laughter, smiles, and plans.
It slipped away like a storm-torn sky,
Leaving me broken, just asking “Why?”
Dreams turned to dust; joy turned to night.
I stumbled blind; no strength to fight.
My heart was void and my hands were bare.
Then I just whispered, “Is someone there?”
And there He was . . . just standing strong.
A steady voice where I’d been wronged.
But not to give back all that I lost . . .
Only to show that love paid the cost.
He lifted shards I could not mend,
For sorrow never has an end.
With pierced-cut hands His love touched my pain,
Then from my ashes, raised me again.
The world may strip, the storm may steal,
But in His presence, wounds can heal.
My life was lost, but I gained my soul . . .
Christ in my brokenness made me whole.
