My God, I seek in humble prayer

For faith to know that Thou are there,

For the witness of Thy love for me

And thy will concerning what I'll be.

These words, now written on my mind:

If I seek in faith then I shall find.

Now my heart's sincere and my intent is real.

For Thy Spirit, rev'rently I kneel.

My God, I seek in humble prayer

For hope to shield me from despair,

For the knowledge of my Savior's love,

And eternal family above.

Hope of perfect brightness plays a part,

Pressing forward, feasting on His word through strife.

I'll endure to gain Eternal life.

For charity, a love so rare,

That pure love to open up my eyes

To the one that I can help to rise.
