To care for the poor who have none.
To feed all the hungry who come.
To cover the naked and weary.
To teach all of those who feel numb.
This is my prayer to Father above . . .
To be given Christ’s gift, to be filled with His love.
To receive with my heart and my soul charity, oh so rare . . .
This is my prayer.

To free when a person’s done wrong.
To lend when one wants to be strong.
To comfort the weak and the dying.
To mourn when the struggle is long.
This is my prayer to Father above . . .
To be given Christ’s gift; to be filled with His love.
To be clothed with His shawl and His cloak and give goodness to share . . .
