I don’t have to be an angel to welcome the Christ Child to earth.
But I can sing praises in all holy places
When I celebrate his new birth.

I don’t have to be a shepherd to find Jesus sleeping on hay.
But I can search purely in my heart securely (so early)
When I seek this Baby each day.

I don’t have to be a wiseman to bring Him a gift like pure gold.
But I can give honor and gratitude longer
When I reach his hand and take hold.

I can sing praises to Jesus on earth;
I can find Him when I seek.
