On the other side of sorrow
There is hope and joyous peace,
Giving us a grand tomorrow
Where all pain and trial cease.
In the distance, looking forward,
Sunsets dim so very fast.
Yet the morning moves us onward
So the night will never last.

Heartache, loss, and grief not mended,
In this mortal world emerge.
But when clouds and fog awaken,
Beams burst forth with pow'r to purge.
Rays of sun envelop new days,
Raising warmth as summer's light.
Looking upward brings a new gaze,
Echoing a former sight.

Memories of prior senses
Whisper solace to the soul.
And a new faith then commences,
Making each tomorrow whole.
On the other side of sorrow
When this life has earned its place,
There will be such grand tomorrows,
As we look upon God's face.
