Sacred music for children, unison choir or vocal solo. Music composed by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. It's a tender and reverent reflection on the Last Supper and the sacred ordinance of the Sacrament. The gentle, expressive melody underscores the solemn beauty of the text, which recounts Christ’s final meal with His disciples and His invitation to remember His sacrifice. Each verse draws a poignant connection between that sacred moment and our weekly worship, inviting the listener to reflect deeply on the Savior’s love and the personal significance of partaking of the Sacrament today.

Text:
I Can Partake of the Holy Sacrament
(Thursday of Holy Week—The Last Supper)
Jesus had a supper; His last one on this earth
With his twelve disciples. It was of greatest worth.
He broke bread and blessed it, then He taught this truth:
Eat this in remembrance of my body bruised.
Next He took a cup with the purest, holy wine,
Saying to his friends there: “This is my blood divine.
Please remember always of this saving truth:
My whole life forever, I will give for you.”
Now when I partake of the holy Sacrament,
Ev’ry Sabbath day I recall what Jesus meant.
