Save me from this hour, O God. O save me with thy pow’r.

But for this cause did I come upon this very hour.

My whole soul is troubled as I sense this burden’s weight

Could exceed the measure of my means for every sake.

Knowingly I honor Thee; Father is thy name.

I will suffer for all men, not for pow’r or fame.

I have come to save mankind and even though I grieve,

Ev’ry error I will take to offer sure (them) relief.

Still, I sense the awesome load, so known before my birth.

This, the very reason why I humbly came to earth.

Though my spirit’s troubled as I beckon ev’ry eye,

I will offer comfort to my friends before I die.

Save me from this hour, I plead. O save me with thy pow’r.

But for this cause did I come upon this very hour.

Help me, God. Please succor me in this last mortal care.
