Listen to the falling rain

As it taps your window pane.

Kneeling by your bed again,

Listen to the rain.

"Thank thee Father for the earth,

For the rain that brings new birth.

Keep us safe in home and hearth."

Softer now, the sound grows dim.

Clouds are passing by.

See the sunshine pouring in;

God is in His sky.

Listen to the Spirit speak

When you're feeling worn or weak.

As a tear runs down your cheek,

Hear the Spirit speak.

Hear him speak of God's true love,

Lighting on you as a dove,

Sending hope from up above,

Hear the Spirit speak.

Telling you of God's own Son,

Risen from the grave.

Death is vanquished, Christ has won,
