Within the darkness of the night One tiny Light adorned,

Dispelling shadows meant to harm The weary and the worn.

With just a Baby countenance Upon a bed of straw

It shone like sun through gathered clouds--Pure rays without a flaw.

His name is Jesus Christ, our Lord; He ushers us from doom.

He is our beam providing sight When stirrings come to view.
