The Sabbath is a holy day; It comes just once a week.

We go to church to worship there And hear what others speak.

And when we have the sacrament We know that we are blessed

Because we think of Jesus Christ; It is a day of rest.

The Sabbath is a special day To be with families—

We read the scriptures faithfully And pray on bended knees.

We learn about the prophets’ lives; We sing the songs of praise,

So we can have the Holy Ghost On six remaining days.

The Sabbath is God’s sacred day When we remember Him.

He gives it as a gift to us So our love won’t grow dim.

The Sabbath day lets us rejoice Because the Savior came;

We think of Him and how we can Give honor to his name.
