At break of day, the earth bows to pray

East to the sun, its life-giving one.

By morning prayer, devotion and care,

Man also shows his love to our God above.

Thus with the dawn, a pattern is shown;

Thanks for to show, we kneel and we bow,

Just as the earth, at daybreak's new birth,

Kneels to the light of love from our God above.

Nature refines. It brings God to mind.

When thanks we give, each day that we live,

Favor He shows. By sunshine or snow,

Skies blaze in glorious hue: beauty born anew.
