Ancient prophets long ago knew the Lord would come
To this mortal realm to reign as God's very Son!
The waited-for Messiah finally appeared
In the cradle of a King, . . . Love so very dear.

To fulfill God's holy plan Jesus came to earth,
Blessing all inhabitants with His infant birth.
The Christ of all creation, with a royal crown,
Quietly descended then, bringing hope, not doubt.

Wonder of all Christmases is this greatest gift
God could ever give to man . . . His eternal wish.
Now we can know this Baby as the promised Son.
We can feel the love He gives . . . Love compared to none.
