“Will ye also go away?” Jesus asked them there.
In Capernaum streets He spoke with concerning care.
He had filled their hunger with bread and fishes well,
Yet He wished his followers could each doubt dispel.

“I’m the living Bread of Life; I came from above.
When ye take (eat) this offering, ye shall have more (my) love.”
Understanding not his words, many went away
No more following their Lord from that very day.

Will ye also go away when your Savior asks?
Will ye understand His words? Will ye take his hand?
When hard sayings come your way, will ye take offense?
Will ye no more follow Him? Will ye be his friend?

“I’m the living Bread of Life sent from Father’s throne.
If ye will come unto Me, exaltation’s known.
My strong arm is stretched out still; ye I will receive.
Come unto my saving soul and I’ll never leave.”
