1. Who is this Mary, the mother of God's Son,
Who's known on ev'ry world where Jesus won with love?
Who is this mother who God named from the start?
Mary first was chosen to perform this special part.

Mary was the one in Jesus' virgin birth
To be named his mother dear on this and ev'ry earth.

2. Who is this Mary, so beautiful and fair,
Whose faith showed deference in Heav'nly Father's care?
She was accepting in Gabriel's descent;
He informed this maiden of the reason he was sent.

"Be it unto me according to thy word."
She kept all these things inside; within her heart they stirred.

3. Who is this Mary, pure vessel named by God,
Who'd bear her Savior as the Child without flaw?
Among all women she reared a sinless Son,
Who would grow and die for all; He'd be the saving One.

God chose her alone for it was his design.
Mary was obedient to make the worlds align.
Called of God for ev'ry soul, her mission was divine.
