YouTube video: I Will Come To You, hymn
Text:
Grueling hours lay ahead as Christ moved toward the cross.
Like lone sheep without a lead, disciples feared this loss.
Though God’s Son, the paschal Lamb, died before their eyes,
Jesus left them words of love, stilling all their cries:
I won’t leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
All my peace I give to you; what I say is true.
Heavy hours may fill our days in seasons of our lives.
But we have a Shepherd still who leads us as we strive.
Through our Savior, Jesus Christ, who died that we might live,
Peaceful words of love ring out . . . his glory is to give:
I won’t leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
All my peace I give to you; what I say is true.
Future times of joy await through all eternity
All because our sufferings He hears with each new plea.
He will never leave his sheep; He’s our Shepherd dear.
Like disciples long ago, these are words we hear:
I won’t leave you comfortless; I will come to you.
All my peace I give to you; what I say is true.
I will come to you.
