He is our rock and our fortress each day.
His truth sends signals; He illumes our way.

If you are fighting the fierce tempter's cords,

He is our lamp and our bright shiny sword,
Giving protection, victory restored.

If you are blinded by darkness at night,
Look to the lighthouse; look to the Lord.
He can rekindle, and strengthen our sight.
He will protect us, lending us his light.

If you've forgotten who saves us from storms,

He guides our efforts and helps us perform.
