Why will ye die, ye beloved of God,
Who once were His people, whose ways ye have trod.
Turn ye from evil and cry for forgiveness
From One who'll redeem thee, from all worldly fraud.

Seek ye for Jesus and turn ye from sin.
His arm is sufficient to hold thee again.

Ye who have known of God's blessings and love
So soon have forgotten they come from above.
Now thieves and robbers are set as thy rulers,
Who love only power and riches thereof.

Thy souls are surrendered yet still you deny.
