Nobody asked what it cost her, the widow who gave two mites,
Nor the faith that is offered before the blind gains sight.
Nobody sees the surrender of one who has wronged a soul,
Then whose choice is repentance, thus hoping to be whole.

Nobody sees the man praying and bending low on his knees—
One who seeks pure forgiveness and offers heartfelt pleas.
Nobody witnessed the woman when cleansing thoughts in her mind
Came to put away anger, then goals to be more kind.

Nobody sees hidden suf’frings, for only God knows each heart.
Only He sees one’s struggles—each effort to impart
Much greater faith in the Savior when wanting to be more free.
Only He sees each effort displayed so willingly.

Only God sees faith develop without the sound of applause,
And how mercy’s acquired and pardon is the cost.
And when no witness is present, when only our God can see,
