She came alone beneath the sun,
To hide from eyes that judged and blamed;
Her heart was worn, her past was heavy,
Still bearing wounds she could not name.

There sat the Lord with peaceful eyes,
No blame, no judgment in His face;
He asked for drink, then offered life,
A gift of hope, a well of grace.

He spoke of water, living, true,
That quenches thirst and fills the soul;
She felt a hope begin to rise,
A grace that slowly made her whole.

He named her past with gentle truth,
Not to condemn, but set her free;
For though He knew her broken life,
He saw her worth, her dignity.

She dropped her jar and ran to town,
Her fear replaced by joy and light;
“Come see the Man who knows my heart,”
She cried with hope instead of fright.

She came in thirst and left made new,
Her past no longer ruled her way;
The One she met beside the well
Gave life that never fades away.

For He is Christ, the Living One,
Who meets our need, who knows our name;
He gives us grace, He gives us life,
And we are never left the same.
