A beautiful, sacred hymn about the life of Rebekah in the Bible. Music by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.

Text:
1. A faithful servant was the guide
To seek for Isaac heaven’s bride.
God’s choice confirmed Rebekah there
When at the well she quickly shared.

Chorus:
O, like Rebekah, may we too,
Give living water to renew.
O, may we haste to serve our God
When traveling on earth’s green sod.

2. Rebekah then said, “I will go”
To marry Isaac. She would show
True faithfulness to God’s sure plan;
O, she would love this holy man.

3. Two nations soon grew in her womb,
Yet agency of each ensued.
Though Esau was the birthright son,
Young Jacob was the favored one.

4. Rebekah helped blind Isaac know
Which son each blessing to bestow.
O, like Rebekah, may we learn
The truths God wants us to discern.
